Hunsur: A two-wheeler rider was killed on the spot when a LPG tanker hit the bike he was riding near the TVS showroom in the town on Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as Mallesh (55), an employee of Parivarthana Swayam Seva organisation and a resident of Kothegala village.

Mallesh was proceeding on his bike (KA-45-Y-8017) from Kothegala village to work when the tanker (KA-12-A-4729), which came from Periyapatna side, rammed into the bike, killing him on the spot.

Hunsur Town Inspector Kashyap, ASI Mahalingu and staff, who reached the spot, conducted mahazar, seized the vehicles, registered a case and shifted the body to Hunsur General Hospital. Hunsur Town Police are investigating.
