Rider killed as truck rams into bike

Mysore/Mysuru: A two-wheeler rider was killed on the spot when a truck rammed into the bike he was riding on Gaddige-Alanahalli Road, near Gaddige in H.D. Kote taluk last evening.

The deceased is Basavaraju (45), son of Sannamadaiah of Kothegala village in the taluk.

Deceased Basavaraju was proceeding from his village towards Kyathanahhli on his bike (KA-45-R-6936), when a speeding truck (KA-17-B-7127) collided head-on with his bike on Gaddige-Alanahalli Road resulting in Basavaraju suffering severe head injuries and breathing his last on the spot.

H.D. Kote Circle Inspector Puttaswamy, SI Mahadeva Nayak and staff, who rushed to the spot, conducted mahazar, shifted the body to the Taluk Hospital mortuary, besides registered a case.
