Rider killed in goods vehicle accident

Mysore/Mysuru: A two-wheeler rider was killed on the spot when a goods vehicle hit the bike he was riding near Gurukarpura Gate on Mysuru-T. Narasipur Road yesterday.

The deceased has been identified as S. Prabhakar alias Ningaraju (41), a resident of S. Megadahalli village in T. Narasipur taluk, who was working as a security guard at Mall of Mysore, M.G. Road in Mysuru city.

Daily Prabhakar used to commute  from his village to the city on his mobike for work.

On Tuesday, Prabhakar was riding his bike (KA-12-H-2928) from his village to Mysuru. When he was proceeding near Gurukarpura Gate, a speeding goods vehicle (KA-07-C-2256) hit his bike from behind.  Prabhakar fell on the road and the goods vehicle ran over him killing him on the spot.

Acting on the complaint from deceased Prabhakar’s father Siddanayaka, Varuna Police have registered a case.
