Rider killed in road accident

Mysuru: A two-wheeler rider, who had sustained serious injuries after ramming into a goods vehicle on Mysuru-Dadadahalli Road on Saturday night, has succumbed to injuries while being shifted to a hospital.

The deceased has been identified as Srinivas (45), a bar-bender by profession and a resident of Sinduvalli village in Jayapura hobli.

Srinivas, who had gone to work to Mysuru on his Hero Honda Splendor Plus bike (KA-09-ER-0228) was on his way back when the goods vehicle (KA-12-A-4470), which was moving ahead of him, applied sudden brakes near a tea stall resulting in Srinivas ramming into the good vehicle from behind and sustaining serious injuries. Srinivas was being shifted to a hospital but he is said to have breathed his last midway. Mysuru South Police have registered a case.
