Mysore/Mysuru: A two-wheeler rider, who had sustained serious head injuries when his bike collided with another bike near Bake Point Circle in Saraswathipuram on Tuesday night and was admitted to a private hospital nearby, has succumbed to injuries yesterday. Two others, who were on the other bike, are undergoing treatment.

The deceased is Rahul (26), a resident of K.G. Koppal in city, while the injured have been identified as Imran and Akash.

Rahul was proceeding from Sahukar Chennaiah Road towards Vishwamanawa Double Road on his Bajaj Pulsar bike (KA-09-HX-2114) when a speeding KTM bike from Vijaya Bank Circle collided with Rahul’s bike resulting in Rahul sustaining serious head injuries.

Though he was rushed to a private hospital, Rahul succumbed to injuries within a few hours of being admitted to the hospital. Imran and Akash, who were on the KTM bike have also suffered injuries and have been admitted to a private hospital.

K.R. Traffic Inspector H.N. Vinay and staff, who rushed to the spot, conducted mahazar besides registering a case. Inspector Vinay said that though there is a night curfew in city, the youths had violated the order and rode the bike in a rash and negligent manner which had led to the accident.
