Risk of accidents at blind corners

Sir,

Last month, a pre-cast concrete compound wall was erected surrounding a residential vacant corner site No. 212, situated at High-Tension I Main Road and 4th Cross junction of CFTRI Employees Layout. This compound is very high and has no grill openings (see picture) and is creating a blind corner for the motorists. As a result, the visibility of the approaching vehicles is cut off.

Apparently, negotiating a sudden left / right turn from I Main Road to 4th Cross and vice versa and straight drive invite accidents. Of late, this Cross Road has been convenient for most of the helmetless and rash scooterists for a short-cut entry to Ring Road /Amrita Vidyapeetham.

I suppose, as per the MCC building bye-law, the maximum permissible limit of compound height cannot be that high of 6 to 7 ft.

Keeping in view the above problem, the MCC is requested to take appropriate steps and see that the height of the compound is reduced (at least a few length from the corner) before any untoward accidents occur at this spot.
