Mysuru: Urging for Ganga- Cauvery River Linking Project, the Jala Sangamakkagi Hakkottaya Samiti’ will launch a signature campaign in the city on July 14.

Announcing this at a press meet here yesterday, the Samiti Convenor H.L. Yamuna said Legislative Council Chairman D.H. Shankaramurthy will launch the campaign at the Institution of Engineers on JLB Road at 11 am on July 14. MLA G.T. Devegowda will preside.

Following the launch, the signature campaign will be held for five-days from July 15 at K.R. Circle,she said.

Pointing out that the Ganga-Cauvery River linking Project which was first mooted in 1972 and shelved later on, will cater to the water needs of crores of people across the country.
