RK Ashrama’s Swachha Mysuru drive enters 17th week

Mysuru: The 17th week of “Swachha Mysuru Swastha Jeevana,” launched by Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama for 40 weeks to create public awareness about cleanliness and environmental protection, was held in and around Hebbal, Lakshmikanthanagar and  Subramanyanagar here yesterday.

Swami Atmajnanandaji Maharaj, Adhyaksha, Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama, Yadavagiri, D. Madegowda, former MLC and Shivanna, local Corporator, jointly inaugurated the campaign.

About 200 volunteers visited houses and requested the residents to keep their surroundings clean.

The volunteers were assisted by 25 MCC cleaning staff and 50 local residents in the awareness campaign. Brochures on “Swachha Mysuru Swastha Jeevana” was distributed.
