RMS and MMS Employees Unions take out rally

Mysore/Mysuru: Urging the Government to roll back the New Pension Scheme and restore the Old Pension Scheme among other demands, about 300 members of All India RMS and MMS Employees Unions Group ‘C’ MG & MTS Karnataka Circle, took out a protest rally from Govindarao Memorial Hall on JLB Road, where the 33rd Joint Karnataka Circle Conference is being held from Dec. 18 to 20.

Rallyists passed through Shivarampet, Sayyaji Rao Road, Government Ayurveda Hospital Circle, Railway Station Circle and culminated at starting point.

Their other demands include filling up of all vacant posts in the Postal Department, payment of all allowances which were stopped in the 7th Pay Commission, to consider rural postal workers as Government employees and provide all benefits to them, to drop proposed corporatisation of Postal Department, to provide five promotions to all category employees and to make all daily wagers as permanent employees.

Circle President R-III Com. Babu Rao, Circle President R-IV Com. S.M. Kulakarni, Com. P.V. Rajendran, Com. P. Kamaleshan, Com. P.U. Khadse, Com. P. Suresh, Com. A. Sreenivasa and others took part in the protest rally.
