Most of the road dividers in our city are without any indicators and in the night it is very difficult for the motorists to identify the starting point, running length of the divider and the end point of these road dividers.

The authorities concerned should fix multi-level reflecting indicators  — one at the lower level  and another at a height of about two to three feet — enabling the motorists to have a clear view of the road dividers.

Apart from fixing multi-level reflecting indicators, reflectors should also be fixed throughout the running length of the dividers. This will be of immense help to the motorists in gauging the actual length of the road dividers. 

Without these reflectors, the motorists would run over the road dividers, inviting fatal and avoidable accidents. Of late such accidents owing to poor visibility of the road dividers are on the rise in our roads.
