Road Safety Week from Feb. 4 to 10

Open Marathon tomorrow

Mysuru: The Mysuru City Traffic Police will be observing 30th Road Safety Week under the theme ‘Sadak Suraksha – Jeevan Raksha’  from Feb. 4 to Feb.10 to sensitise the public on various traffic rules and road safety measures.

The event will be inaugurated this evening at 5.30 near Kote Anjaneyaswamy temple by  Principal District Sessions Judge Suresh K. Vontigodi.

City Police Commissioner K.T. Balakrishna will preside. Representatives from various Departments including Tourism, PWD, Transport, KSRTC, Mysuru City Corporation, City Autorickshaw Drivers and Owners Union, Lorry Drivers and Owners Association, NGOs and Young Indians (Yi) will participate.

DCPs N. Vishnuvardhana and Dr. Vikram V. Amathe, ACP-Traffic G.N. Mohan and various traffic Police personnel will be present.

Open Marathon

City Traffic Police have organised an Open Marathon as part of Road Safety Week on Feb.5 at 6.30 am  from Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple.

The Marathon will pass through K R. Circle, Devaraja Urs Road, JLB Road, MUDA Junction, Ramaswamy Circle, 100 feet Road, Seetavilas junction, Sanskrit Patashala junction, Gun House Circle, Jayamarthanda Gate, Hardinge Circle and return to the starting point.
