Road works at snail’s pace inconveniencing public

Sir,

The road repair works started over a month ago from Vivekanandanagar Circle has been going on at a snail’s pace inconveniencing the residents.

On one side, the already started metalling work from Vivekanandanagar Circle is still to be asphalted and several tankers of water is wasted to spill over the metalled portion when there is acute shortage of water in many parts of the city.

The remaining road repair work is half-done with the land-losers preventing any widening work until the MUDA settles their land compensation claims.

The local MLA and the MUDA officials have not been evincing any interest despite several complaints from the citizens. At present the residents are  taking alternate roads which are very narrow.

The 2nd phase of road work towards LIC Colony and BEML Layout is to be carried out urgently as the road is in a very bad shape with deep pits.

Will the authorities concerned visit the place to speed up the process and get the work completed without any  further delay.
