Rotary Ivory ‘Voice of Mysore’ Grand Finale on Sunday

Mysuru: The Grand Finale of Rotary Ivory Voice of Mysore will be held on Sunday, 4th February at the Platinum Jubilee Hall, JK Grounds in city from 5.30 pm onwards.

Preliminaries were held for two categories of students from schools and colleges of Mysuru district recently where over a hundred students participated.

Six finalists from each category have made it to the finals. Sharadi Patil from Dr. Gangubai Hangal  Music University, Shankar Balakuntla from VVIET, M. Amulya from Mysore School of Architecture, S. A. Vinayaka from Mahajana College, Hamsini S. Kumar from SDM-MMK and Gaanashree from MIT — all under college category;  T.M. Vaishnavi from JSS Public School, B.R. Shreekar from DAV Public School, Anagha K. Bhat from Ideal Java Rotary School, S. Swaroop Bindumalyam from St. Joseph’s  Central School, Nihal Prakash from Sadvidya High School and Amulya Bhat from Amrita Vidyalaya — under school category — will be competing for the coveted trophies.   

The judges for the mega event are eminent playback singers Ajay Warriar, Shashank Sheshagiri and Shubha Raghavendra.

For the first time in the history of Mysuru city, audience poll by electronic means is planned and a combination of marking by the judges and audience will decide the winners of Rotary Ivory Voice of Mysore.

Dy. Commissioner D. Randeep, who will be the chief guest, will inaugurate the event  in the presence of Superintendent of Police Ravi D. Channannavar.
