Mysuru: Limerick writer Satyesh N. Bellur has been selected for the Rotary-Mukthaka Sahitya Award -2017 to be given away by Karnataka Muktaka Sahitya Academy and Rotary Mysore North.
The award will be presented today at a function to be held at Rotary Centre on JLB Road at 6.30 pm.
The event will be inaugurated by Rotary Dist. 3180 Past Governor Rtn. A.S.N. Hebbar. Rotary Mysore North President Rtn. Rajashekara Kadamba will preside. Karnatak Mukthaka Sahitya Academy President Rtn. S. Ramprasad will be present.
About the awardee : Born in Mysuru in 1962, Satyesh N. Bellur hails from the family of renowned writer Prof. B.M. Srikantaiah. He is currently working as a Senior Engineer for a private firm in Bengaluru. A B.E graduate from Malnad Engineering College in Hassan, he completed his MBA from Sikkim-Manipal University. He is associated with reputed companies such as Siemens Limited and Tellabs India apart from Institute of Business Management. A member of CII, Satyesh has travelled extensively throughout the world and has taken part in many business Summits.
Satyesh, who has developed the habit of writing limericks, has published two collections namely ‘Chinthana Chilume’ and ‘Olumeya Honalu.’ His ‘Boardroomina Suthamutha’ has received critical acclaims.
