Rotary Tender Vision project launched

Mysore/Mysuru: District Governor Rtn. M. Ranganath Bhat formally inaugurated the Rotary Ivory Tender Vision Global grant project of the Rotary Foundation at Usha Kiran Eye Hospital recently. Under this project, Sri Vivekananda Sevashrama and Usha Kiran Eye Hospital, who have been working together for the last 12 years, will screen eyes of Government School children and provide spectacles to correct refractive errors and perform eye surgeries for treating squint, early cataract, drooping eyes, etc. 

The project aims at providing 1,200 spectacles and support 50 surgeries. Under this project, two equipment are being donated to the hospital that would help in performing surgeries. 

The main host of this project is Rotary Club of Ivory City Mysuru, supported by Rotary Bangalore Koramangala, Rotary Bangalore District 3190 E Club, Rotary Senhora da Hora and Rotary Esposende of Portugal and Rotary Guildford, UK. 

On the occasion of inauguration, senior Rotarians, Rtn. B. Harish, President of Rotary Ivory City Mysuru, Rtn. Dr. M.K. Sachidananda, Secretary, Rtn. Sunil Baliga, former Asst. Governor, Rtn. Dr. Ravikumar from Rotary Bangalore Koramangala, Rtn. Past President M. Perumal, Rtn. S. Balachandra, AG Rohith Ramdeo, Rtn. Ifthikar Ahmed, Dr. Ravi Shankar of Usha Kiran Eye Hospital and Sethuram of Sri Vivekananda Sevashrama were present.
