Rotary West donates 50 computers

Mysore/Mysuru: Rotary Mysore West donated 50 computers to the students of Maharani’s Science College here on Monday. The computers were distributed by MLA L. Nagendra.

After symbolically handing over the computers to a few students, Nagendra spoke about the current education system and stressed on the need of updating knowledge in an effective manner. 

“Rotary Mysore West has taken a lead in donating 50 computers to this institute and students should make use of these computers in a productive way,” he added. He also mentioned that this has been a signature project for the Club as they are donating computers for the most valuable cause. 

District 3181 Governor- Nominee Rtn. H.R. Keshav enlightened the audience about the magnanimity of Cognizant Software, which donated the computers free of cost.  College Principal Padmanabha presided.

Rotary Mysore West President Rtn. Dr. B. Chandra, Assistant Governor Rtn. C.S. Ravishankar, Secretary Dr. Mohankrishna, Immediate Past President Rtn. M.D. Raghavendra Prasad, Community Service Director Rtn. Karthik V. Kashyap, Club Service Director Rtn. Sudheendra and Chairman of The Rotary Foundation Rtn. Ganesh Chowdhari were  present.
