Mysore/Mysuru: Sugarcane Growers’ Association President Kurubur Shantakumar has said that a Round Table Conference of Raitha Parishat (Farmers Council) will be held in Bengaluru on Mar. 19 and 20 to urge the State Government to solve various problems faced by the farmers including fixing of Minimum Support Price (MSP) for agricultural produce after which a delegation will meet the Chief Minister to seek speedy implementation of their demands.
Addressing a press meet at Jaladarshini Guest House on Hunsur Road here on Monday, he said that the farmers of the country are fighting to seek solutions to their problems and added that as the Government had failed to take any steps in this regard, it was decided to hold Raitha Parishat where several national farmer leaders will participate.
