Mysuru: Mysuru Tahsildar Renukumar, whose political neutrality had come under the scanner after a row over audio tape reportedly on assuming office, was shunted out.
The State Government on Wednesday issued an order on transferring Renukumar, with approval of the Election Commission of India. The transfer comes a fortnight before Mysuru goes to the LS polls on Apr. 18. G. Mahesh, a Grade-I Tahsildar of Sargur taluk has been posted as the new Mysuru Taluk Tahsildar, while the transferred Renukumar has not been given any posting.
In another transfer, Madikeri Tahsildar A.A. Kusuma has been posted as the new Sargur Tahsildar in place of Mahesh.
