Mysuru: Dr. C. N. Manjunath, Senior Professor and Director of Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research, has been awarded Fellowship of Royal College of Physicians, Glasgow, Scotland (FRCP) for outstanding contribution in the field of Cardiac Sciences. He has performed more than 35,000 Cardiac Procedures, conceptualised and practising Treatment First – Payment Next Concept. He is instrumental in providing affordable cardiac care across the State by establishing Jayadeva Hospitals in Mysuru, Kalaburagi and ESI Colleges. He has to his credit more than 300 publications in National and International Journals and written Chapters for Text Books of Cardiology.
Under his leadership, Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research has recorded 400 percent growth, became the first Government Heart Institute in the country to get NABH Accreditation and one of the largest heart care destinations with 1,150 cardiac beds in South East Asian Region.
