Rs. 55 crore to develop arterial roads in city

Mysuru: The Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) will launch a series of development projects worth over Rs. 150 crore and will complete them by December 2017.

Speaking to Star of Mysore, MCC Commissioner G. Jagadeesha said that the arterial roads that connect the city would be widened at a cost of Rs. 55 crore. The MCC will take up the repair and widening of the arterial roads from Columbia Asia Hospital Junction to Tipu Circle, from Dasappa Circle to Vontikoppal temple on KRS Road, on the Nanjangud Road opposite Bengaluru-Nilgiri Road, he said.

A series of works have been taken up including underground drainage works with Rs. 100 crore special grants from the CM. Most of the works have been initiated by MCC, he added.
