RTE reimbursement rules simplified to help schools

Bengaluru: In view of low attendance and enrolment in schools due to COVID-19 pandemic, Primary and Secondary Education Minister S. Suresh Kumar has asked officials concerned to give exemption regarding reimbursement of RTE fees to the schools  concerned.

In a letter to Principal Secretary (Primary and Secondary Education), he said the State Government has already taken decision to leave it to the discretion of parents to send their wards to the schools and also to the students from compulsory attending of offline classes owing to the prevailing situation. The Department concerned must not take into account the number of students appearing for the SSLC examination and reimbursement of RTE fees to the educational institutions. This was done to help students of Private Unaided Schools, he said.
