Rukmini Shankar (85), wife of late P.S. Shankarnarayan and a resident of Saraswathipuram, passed away in the wee hours of yesterday in city. She leaves behind son Sriram, daughter Uma and a host of relatives and friends. She was the sister of Vid. T.P. Vaidyanathan, a famed musician of yesteryears.

Last rites were held at the foot of Chamundi Hill this morning, according to family sources.
