Mysuru: Under the Indo-Russian Youth Exchange Programme, a 53-member Russian youth delegation arrived in city yesterday evening on a three-day visit.
The student delegates were given a traditional welcome at Youth Hostels near Maruthi Temple in T.K. Layout last evening along with a cultural treat.
During their three-day visit, they are scheduled to interact with youth club members, visit KRS Dam, Brindavan Gardens, Infosys campus and CFTRI as well as other tourist places in and around the city.
The Indian Government in association with the Russian counterpart has been organising Youth Exchange Programmes over the last several years. This programme is exclusively reserved for youth to exchange and deliberate on different aspects of culture, which include language, art, research and other aspects of student life. This exchange project aims to provide them exposure to different cultures and acknowledge the unfamiliar way of life.
