S. Udayashankar (60), journalist and a resident of Vijayanagar, passed away yesterday morning at his residence following brief illness.

A native of T. Narasipur, he leaves behind his wife M.S. Bharati (announcer at Akashavani), a son, a daughter and a host of relatives and friends. Last rites were performed at the foot of Chamundi Hill yesterday.
