SafaiKarmachari Commission Chairman arriving in city this evening

Karnataka State SafaiKarmachari Commission Chairman M. Shivanna will be on a two-day tour of the district from today. Shivanna, who will arrive in the city from Bengaluru at 6 pm today, will stay for the night at Jaladarshini Guest House on Hunsur Road.Tomorrow (Sept. 24), he will visit DevarajaUrs Colony in Ward No. 62 at 9 am and hear the grievances of Pourakarmikas. At 11 am, he will take part in the interaction on ‘Poona Pact  and its Impact’ at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Research and Extension Centre in Manasagangothri. It was an agreement between Mahatma Gandhi and B. R. Ambedkar on behalf of depressed classes.
