Safety first: Maintain social distance when moving on two-wheelers

Sir,

It can be seen through media that still many people are riding doubles on two-wheeler during the current COVID-19 period, which is against the advisory and caution given by City Police to keep social distance even while travelling.

Triple riding, all without helmets, is most common even now in peripheral areas, if not in city limits. In addition, many have  forgotten wearing helmet (in most of the cases both rider and pillion), which is also an essential gadget for motorists.

Similar to helmet, nose mask has also become a showpiece. Many are seen not wearing it properly when they are moving around or keeping in hand while walking or going on two-wheelers, making themselves exposed to open air, which is risky under the present circumstances.

Hence, people are advised to maintain social distance even when moving on two-wheelers by avoiding double or triple rides and wear helmet and face masks without fail to protect themselves and not to put others at risk.
