Mysore/Mysuru: The Mahabharata is the greatest and most profound epic in the world. The great war that took place 5,000 years ago, the exciting events surrounding it and the unique characters who participated in it still fascinate us.
The main reason for this is the uniqueness of the characters, the insight into human nature and the universal vision of human values.
In this month’s presentation of ‘Sahitya Chavadi’ by Kalasuruchi, Mysuru, author-translator-editor Hari Ravikumar will speak on ‘Nuances of Characters of the Mahabharata’ at Suruchi Rangamane in Kuvempunagar on May 31 at 10.30 am.
Hari Ravikumar, who has a special interest in Indian epics, was the co-translator of A.R. Krishnashastri’s ‘Vachan Bharata’ and S.R. Ramaswamy’s ‘Mahabharata Gakhata.’
