Mysore/Mysuru: Following a complaint by representatives of Apple Inc., Lashkar Police have registered FIRs against owners of nine mobile phone shops on K.T. Street for allegedly selling duplicate Apple gadgets.
The shops booked are Naresh Telecom, Srikrishna Telecom, Raj Telecom, Mahesh Telecom, Madan Telecom, Neminath Telecom, Lalith Telecom and Hanuman Telecom.
According to the complaint, Mohamed Tauqeer of Semita Legal, Advocates and Solicitors, Noida, representing Apple Inc., visited Lashkar Police Station on May 12 and alleged that the shops were selling counterfeit Apple products using the company’s logo, iPhone trademark and packaging material.
The complainant stated that he and his team had inspected the shops on May 11 and found duplicate Apple gadgets being sold to customers.
He urged the Police to initiate legal action against the shop owners and seize counterfeit products. Based on the complaint, Lashkar Police have registered cases against shop owners and are investigating.
