Sale of liquor banned

Mysuru: In the wake of the Legislative Council Polls from South Teachers Constituency on June 8, sale of liquor is banned from 5 pm on June 6 to 5 pm on June 8 in order to ensure a free and fair polls.

In a press release, DC Abhiram G. Sankar said that a dry day has been declared on these days and as such there will be no sale of liquor in liquor shops, hotels, bars and restaurants. Also, sale, distribution, stocking and transportation of liquor has been prohibited, the release added.
