Mysuru: ‘Justice A.J. Sadashiva Ayoga Varadi Jaari Horata Samiti’ held a protest in front of Deputy Commissioner’s Office recently demanding the implementation of Justice Sadashiva Committee’s report.
The protestors said that the State Government was not willing to implement the report which recommends providing equal opportunities to all 101 Scheduled Caste communities.
Speaking to the mediapersons, Samithi President K. Prasanna Chakravarthi said that though it has been decades since the report has been submitted, the State Government failed to implement the same despite continuous protest over the past three years.
Chief Minister Siddharamaiah, has promised on many occasions to implement the committee report. But, with the term of the current State Government ending, it is yet to be considered.
The protestors threatened to intensify the agitation. They also threatened not support the Congress party in the ensuing Assembly Polls.
Samithi members Mugur Siddaraju, S. Swamy, Dr. M. Srinivas Murthy, Maradipura Ravikumar, and others were present.
