Mysuru: Sri Lakshmidevi Krupa Poshitha Nataka Mandali, Mysuru, in collaboration with Department of Kannada and Culture, will be staging the drama “Sampoorna Ramayana” at 12 noon on Thursday (Feb.27) at Town Hall in city.
The event will be inaugurated by G.T. Devegowda, Minister for Higher Education, in the presence of Sri Ilai Alwar Swamiji of Vangipura Nambi Mutt, Melukote. MLA L. Nagendra will preside.
The drama will be directed by noted Harmonium Master of Mysuru H.P. Nagendra Prasad.
The following are the drama artistes: Dasharatha – Dasappa of Lingambudhikere, Sri Rama – V. Venkatesh, Ravana – Muddanna Gowda of K.G. Koppal, Lakshmana – Muralidhar of Siddalingapura, Prahastha – Jagadish of Tumkur, Vibeeshana – Shivakumar, Kumbakarna – Boralinga of K.G. Koppal, Sumanthra and Jatayu – Viswakanth, Shurpanaki – Vasu, Lord Hanuman by Shivananju of K.G. Koppal, Maya Ravana – Dharmarathnakara of K.G. Koppal, Sugriva – Ananthu, Vasista and Vali – Kalaiah, Mantharay – Krishnappa of Tumkur, Bharatha – Basavaraju, Sitadevi – Chikka Rekha, Kaika and Mandodhari – Nirmala.
Costume and makeup by Sri Raja Rajeshwari Scenes, Mandya; Music by Nagendra Prasad Team, Tabla by Shivkumar, Clarinet by Dr. C.P. Krishna Murthi and Rhytham Pad by Sampath.
