‘Samskrutotsava’ was inaugurated at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan (BVB), Mysuru Kendra, in Vijayanagar here this morning in the presence of (from left) BVB Sanskrit teachers Nagaraj Hedge & Srikanth, Principal S. Lekha Nair, Hon. Secretary P.S. Ganapathy, chief guest Padma Shri awardee K.S. Jayalakshmi Sampath Kumar (Editor of Sudharma Sanskrit Daily), BVB Vice-Chairman Dr. C. Naganna, Hon. Treasurer Dr. A.T. Bhashyam, Cultural Coordinator M.V. Shama, BVB Management Committee Members Dr. J.V. Gayathri and Gangadhar. A total of 273 students from 31 schools participated in five competitions — Bhagavad Gita, Ekapatrabhinaya, Samskrut  Bhajan, Kathapatana and Samskrut Group Dance — organised as part of the programme.
