Samvaad Institute celebrates 15th anniversary

Mysore/Mysuru: Samvaad Institute of Speech and Hearing, Bengaluru, celebrated its 15th anniversary last week. 

Dr. N. Rathna, former Director of All India Institute of Speech and Hearing (AIISH), Mysuru, was the chief guest for the virtual celebration.  The other guests were Dr. Shivshankar, former Head, Department of Speech Language Pathology, NIMHANS, Prof. Roopa Nagarajan, Course Chairperson, SRMC Chennai and Dr. Manoj Kumar, former Chief Commissioner for Disability, Government of India.

Dr. Rathna has been a teacher and mentor of Samvaad Institute Founder-Director Radhika Poovayya, an alumnus of AIISH. Samvaad Institute has not only established itself as a good academic institute with its students securing University ranks every year in both Bachelors and Master’s courses, but it is also recognised as an Institute for best practices in the treatment of children and adults with speech and hearing disabilities. 

Samvaad is renowned  for its ABA treatment for children with Autism and free Speech Therapy for stroke patients. Testimonials from old students and video clipping of successful therapy were also shared during the webinar.

Radhika is the daughter of late Col. P. C. Ganapathy and Shanthi Ganapathy, resident of Vijayanagar 3rd Stage, Mysuru.
