‘Samvidhana Jagruti Jatha’ to be launched in city

Mysore/Mysuru: Marking the 75th year of the Republic Day (Constitution Day), the District administration, in association with Zilla Panchayat, Urban Development Department, Mysuru City Corporation, Social Welfare Department and local bodies, will be launching  a ‘Samvidhana Jagruti Jatha’ in the city tomorrow (Jan. 26).

District Incharge Minister Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa will launch the Jatha that will be accompanied by two tableaux, at Bannimantap Torchlight Parade grounds at 11.30 am.

The Constitution Awareness Jatha (mass awareness) is being taken out in all the 31 districts of the State.

The Jatha will have a LED mobile van that will play multi-media on the essence of the Constitution  and other connected things specific to the districts.

Accordingly, the Mysuru district Jatha will have two tableaux of K.R. Nagar. The Jatha will travel through the entire district and reach every Gram Panchayat of the district, thus involving  elected members at the grassroots level.

After travelling across the district till Feb. 23, the Jatha will culminate  with a mega Constitution awareness convention  at Bengaluru on Feb. 25, according to a press release.
