Mysuru: With children having proved their acting prowess through an array of plays on various themes, Sanchalana Children’s Theatre Festival, organised jointly by Sanchalana, Mysuru and Karnataka Nataka Academy, concluded on Wednesday evening at the Mini-theatre in Kalamandira here.
Participating in the valedictory programme, State JD(S) President A.H. Vishwanath opined that music, dance, drama and literature helps to alleviate pain, suffering and any such unpleasant condition of the mind. He lauded the theatre festival enacted by children, which unearthed the treasure of talents among kids.
Addressing the gathering, MLA L. Nagendra advised parents to judge the aptitude of their children and encourage to pursue that line without any constraints and impositions.
Expressing his feelings, Theatre Artiste and Actor Mandya Ramesh opined that children entering theatre would hone their communication skills to excel in future career. He regretted that the basic education system had deteriorated with nothing innovative to enthuse the children.
