Sand deposits on the roads are against road safety

August 16, 2019

Sand deposits are noticed on many roads such as KRS Road near Royal Inn junction, Bogadi road, etc. including the service roads of Ring Road (see photo taken sometime back at Ring Road near Rajarajeswari Nagar). Dr. S.V. N. Vijayendra, Traffic Warden and Member of City Traffic Advisory Committee, Mysuru, says that as per the ruling given by the High Court recently, it is the responsibility of the City Corporations, MUDA or National Highways Authority to look after the condition of the roads coming under their respective jurisdiction for the safety of the commuters. Hope the authorities concerned will clear the sand deposits before someone claims compensation for the damages of property or injuries caused in accidents occurred in such locations.
