Sangh Parivar leaders and electorate are satisfied with my work: Appachu Ranjan

Even as speculations are doing the rounds in BJP circles that Appachu Ranjan may be denied the party ticket this time, the current Madikeri MLA and former Minister has said that he maintains a good relationship with Sangh Parivar leaders and the leaders were satisfied with his work as a Legislator.

Dismissing reports in a section of the Press on his chances of getting the BJP ticket for the forthcoming Assembly polls, Ranjan claimed that he had developed his Madikeri Assembly segment by spending Rs.1,800 crore while the BJP was in power in the State.

He further said that as demanded by JD(S) leader B.A.Jivijaya, he (Ranjan) brought out a white paper on the Rs.1,800 crore development works that he had undertaken.

Claiming that he played a key role in the establishment of Sainik School, an Engineering College and Medical College in Kodagu, Ranjan said that the Government Medical College is coming up at a cost of Rs.130 crore on the land reserved by him for the purpose.

Further listing his achievements, Ranjan said that the DC’s office has been built at a cost of Rs.16 crore and the construction of Court complex at a cost of Rs.46 crore is under progress.

Maintaining that he was instrumental in bringing Morarji School to Madikeri, Ranjan said that his works have been lauded in neighbouring Virajpet constituency as well.

Reiterating that neither Sangh Parivar leaders nor the people of the constituency have expressed displeasure about him, Ranjan asserted that he would continue to do his best for the constituency.
