Sanitise houses of COVID-19 symptomatic persons, neighbours: Chamaraja MLA

Mysore/Mysuru: With Corona positive cases rising in the city, Chamaraja MLA L. Nagendra directed the authorities to sanitise the houses of symptomatic patients and that of their neighbours also.

Presiding over his first meeting as Head of COVID-19 Task Force of Chamaraja Assembly segment at Jaladarshini Guest House here on Saturday, Nagendra said it is important to immediately rush persons who test positive for COVID-19 to the Hospital and to sanitise their houses and also that of the neighbours. Asking the Nodal Officer to provide three ambulances for the segment, he directed DHO Dr. R. Venkatesh to provide sufficient number of Rapid Antigen Test Kits in areas such as Mandi Mohalla and Tilaknagar, from where a high number of positive cases are being reported. 

Pointing out that it is vital to involve volunteers for carrying out the tests, Nagendra said that the Task Force should meet once in 3-4 days and keep him updated on the measures taken for stopping the spread of the virus.

MCC Superintending Engineer Biligiri Rangaswamy, Slum Development Board Executive Engineer Harish, MUDA Assistant Engineer K.R. Mahesh, Corporator M.U. Subbaiah, BJP leaders Somashekar, Kirangowda, Vaneesh Kumar and others were present at the meeting.
