Mysore/Mysuru: Gayana Sabha, Mysuru, has organised Hindustani Classical Music Concert by Vidu. Sanjana Kaushik on Jan. 21 at Nrityagiri Auditorium, 16/1, Preethi Layout, Srirampura 3rd Stage, at 6 pm.
She will be accompanied by Vid. Veerabhadraiah Hiremath on harmonium and Parameshwara Hegde on tabla.
Sanjana Kaushik received her initial training from Vidu. Geeta Dutt. Later, she continued to train from Pt. Veerabhadraiah Hiremath in Mysuru. She received arduous Talim in Kirana Gharana from Pt. Nagabhushan Hegde and Pt. J. Niranjan for many years. She also received guidance from Pt. Arun Kashalkar for a few years in Mumbai. She is currently in advanced training under Dr. Pournima Dhumale, Pune.
Being a musician, Graded Artiste of AIR and UGC NET Qualified, Sanjana is currently pursuing Ph.D in Hindustani Vocal Music. Also, she is serving as a Teacher of Hindustani Music at Atrium Academy, the virtual platform for music education.
Sanjana has performed at notable venues like Jaganmohan Palace, Canara Union, Bengaluru, Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal, Pune, Dadar Matunga Cultural Centre, Mumbai, to name a few.
She has won many State and National-level Competitions and has been felicitated and conferred with Awards like ‘Kalakaar’ and ‘Bala Pratibha Ratna.’
