Valedictory of Vigilance Awareness Campaign 2023 at CSRTI, Mysore

Mysore/Mysuru: The Central Sericultural Research and Training Institute (CSRTI), Mysore had organised the valedictory of Vigilance Awareness Campaign 2023 on Nov. 15.

In his address, CSRTI Director Dr. S. Gandhi Doss stressed on being honest at the work-place and saying no to corruption.

He also spoke about the Indian culture and its honesty and highlighted the efforts and achievements of the prestigious research organisation in India. 

“We should all unite together to  eradicate corruption to achieve success in all the fields in the country. In this line, this institute has organised various events like awareness programme on PIDPI (Public Interest Disclosure and Protection Informers), display of the poster of PIDPI at the office premises and Vigilance Awareness Week-2023,” he said.

Lakshmipuram Police Station Inspector B.S. Ravishankar,  said “Under Prevention of Corruption Act 1988 and Amendment of Prevention of Corruption Act 2018, anything in the form of property, valuables or cash received or given is considered as corruption.”

Further, he explained about how forensic techniques are deployed by Lokayukta personnel in solving cases related to corruption by  catching the culprits red-hand.

He also urged the gathering to lead a peaceful life without  resorting to corruption.

He emphasised the importance of sericulture in India and appreciated the growth achieved by CSRTI in the recent years.

He also informed that the environment and attitude are the two major things that will indulge individuals in corruption; if one can control these two factors then he or she can lead a corruption- free life. Honesty is the best policy, if we are honest then only country will prosper, he added.

Inspector Ravishankar also interacted with the Scientists, Officers, technical staff and workers answering their queries on corruption and its control.

A “Bulletin on Vigilance Awareness Campaign 2023”  was also released on the occasion. 

The oath-taking ceremony of Vigilance Awareness Campaign 2023 was held on Oct.30.

During this campaign the CSRTI Mysore conducted GeM Procurement Procedures for its staff and Awareness on PIDPI organised at Marballihundi village in the district, which was attended by 60 farmers.

Scientist – C Dr. T. Gayathri  compered the programme.

Senior Scientists Dr. K.B. Chandrashekar, Dr. R. Bhagya, Dr. M.K. Raghunath, Dr. S. Balasaraswathi and Dr. Meenal,  staff, research scholars, students and workers were present at the Vigilance Awareness event.
