‘Say sorry even if you are right’

Sir,

This refers to the beautiful article titled “Say sorry even if you are right” by N.K.A. Ballal in SOM dated July 26.

The article was very touching and relevant to the present day lifestyle. As it is rightly mentioned by Ballal, the sense of ‘ego’ is coming in the way of relationship mainly due to false sense of ‘ego’. The live example of the Monk Gopal Das with his father who realised his grave mistake only after the death of his father should be an eye- opener to all of us. In reality, persons having ‘ego’ are reluctant to accept this fact.

I read the article a couple of times and each time I was excited and realised the gravity and damage being done by our false “ego”.  It is true that if we come out of this “ego”, our relationship with relatives and friends will have a different dimension.
