Mysuru: Marking its 25th anniversary, SBM (State Bank of Mysore) Pensioners Commune had organised a function at Jaganmohan Palace here on Oct. 30.
About 1,500 SBM pensioners from various parts of the State participated. A health check-up camp was also organised in association with Narayana Hrudayalaya.
Inaugurating the programme, Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar congratulated the Commune in completing 25 years. He recalled that Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar was instrumental in commencing SBM and many more organisations to uphold the grandeur of Mysore Province.
Commune President K.N. Sreenivas Rao presided. State Bank of India Deputy General Manager M. Arunagiri, SBM Retirees Association President Dr. A. Ananthakrishna Rao, Reception Committee Chairman Nanjundaswamy, Executive Committee General Secretary Prasad, Treasurer P. Sundar and others were present.
Earlier to that, about 200 pensioners took out a Heritage Walk from Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple covering many heritage buildings in city.
