Mysore/Mysuru: SBRR Mahajana Law College, Mysuru, hosted the 9th Mysuru Zonal Athletic Meet for Men and Women in association with Karnataka State Law University (KSLU), Hubballi, at Oval Grounds, opposite Crawford Hall in Mysuru recently.
Students from various Law Colleges of Mysuru Zone participated in the one-day Athletic Meet — JSS Law College, Mysuru; M.H. Law College, Ramanagar; Government Law College, Ramanagara; PES Law College, Mandya; Parivarthana Law College, Mysuru; Vidyavardhaka Law College, Mysuru; Vidya Vikas Institute of Legal Studies, Mysuru; Sarada Vilas Law College, Mysuru; Ambedkar School of Law, K.N. Nagegowda Law College, Malavalli and others.
Prof. (Dr.) C. Basavaraju, Vice-Chancellor, KSLU, Hubballi, was the chief guest for the inauguration. In his address, he emphasised the importance of sports in the overall development of students and highlighted the need for maintaining discipline, healthy competition and true sportsman spirit on and off the field. He also stressed the value of sports in promoting good health, character building and teamwork.
The event was attended by Dr. T. Vijayalakshmi Muralidhar, Hon. Secretary, Mahajana Education Society (MES) and M. L. Manjunath, Managing Director, Vinfin Private Limited and Proprietor, Vajra Insurance.
