Mysuru: The ZP CEO has announced the schedule from their polls to elect District Planning Committee members of the Panchayat Raj Department.
As per a Government notification dated June 3, 2016, 37 members from Rural Local Bodies and 27 members from Urban Local Bodies of the district have to be elected to the Committee. As 7 members from Urban Local Bodies are already elected, the polls will be held for electing the remaining 20 members, along with 37 members form rural bodies.
The filing of nomination will take place from June 5 to 16, between 11 am and 3 pm on all days, barring public holidays. The scrutiny of nomination papers will take place on June 19 and the deadline for withdrawal of nomination papers is 3 pm on June 22, following which the list of contesting candidates will be announced.
The polling will take place on June 30 from 8 am to 3 pm at ZP Hall, following which the counting of votes will take place at 4 pm and the results will be announced the same day.
