Mysore/Mysuru: A 53-year-old scooter rider was killed on the spot when the two-wheeler he was riding was knocked down by a car on Manandavadi Road yesterday.
The deceased scooterist has been identified as Narasimhachar (53), a resident of Srirampura in city.
Narasimhachar was travelling on his scooter from Srirampura side on Manandavadi Road, when a speeding car coming from behind, fatally knocked him down near Railway Workshop.
The car driver fled from the spot soon after the accident, leaving behind the car. The jurisdictional K.R. Traffic Police have registered a case in this regard.
