Ujire: Dr. B. Yashovarma (67), Secretary of Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara (SDM) Education Society, passed away on Sunday in Singapore. He was ailing for sometime and was undergoing treatment at Singapore where he passed away.
He was the brother of Dr. Hemavathi Heggade, wife of Dharmadhikari Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade. He leaves behind his wife Sonia Varma, two sons and a host of relatives and friends.
Yashovarma also served as the President of Belthangady Rotary Club, Jain Milan, Belthangady Taluk Kannada Sahitya Parishat and Secretary of Dharmasthala’s Religious and Literary Conventions.
According to a release from Dharmasthala, the mortal remains of Dr. Yashovarma arrived at Bengaluru from Singapore today (May 24) and was taken to SDM College in Ujire where it was kept for the public to pay their last respects from 2 pm to 5.30 pm.
Last rites will be held immediately after public viewing at Neeruchilume, Kanyadi, which is near the College.
