Mysore/Mysuru: Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade, Chairman of Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Institute for Management Development (SDM-IMD), Mysuru, received the prestigious EFMD re-accreditation of the Institute’s flagship PGDM programme in Lyon, France, on June 12.
SDM-IMD was the first Institute in the country to receive EFMD (European Federation of Management Development) accreditation in 2017 and subsequently the accreditation has been renewed in 2020 and now in 2023.
Vice-President of SDM Educational Trust D. Surendra Kumar and Director-Emeritus of SDM-IMD Dr. N.R. Parasuraman were present at the award ceremony, along with Dr. Veerendra Heggade. The dignitaries from EFMD comprised President Eric Cornuel, Director of Quality Services Alfons Sauquet, Director of EFMD Programme Accreditation Barbara Sporn and Advisir of EFMD Nishit Jain.
Founded in 1972, EFMD is a global, non-profit, membership-driven organisation dedicated to management development. EFMD accreditation has enabled SDM-IMD to network with more than 17 other well-placed business schools across the world for student and faculty exchanges, joint research in management. Currently, 32 students from SDM-IMD are studying in 9 Universities/institutes across the world — European Union, Middle East and USA.
