Mysuru: Recognising the quality of management education and internationalisation at Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Institute for Management Development (SDMIMD), Mysuru, the global accreditation body EFMD has awarded the prestigious EPAS International Accreditation to the institution’s flagship programme — Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM). SDM-IMD is the first Indian B-school to receive EPAS accreditation. The accreditation is for the 2-year full-time PGDM Programme.
SDM-IMD was awarded the EPAS accreditation during the EFMD Annual Conference-2017 held at Berlin. The formal certificate was handed over by the Director General and CEO of EFMD to D. Surendra Kumar, Vice-President of SDM-IMD and Dr. N.R. Parasuraman, Director of SDM-IMD.
A Peer Review Team consisting of four eminent academics from different parts of the world visited the Institute in October, 2016 for a thorough overview of the activities and records. At the Board Meeting of EFMD held in February, SDM-IMD was formally approved for the award.
The Institute hopes to strengthen its international tie-up arrangements and joint research in the months to come using the contact base of EPAS-accredited institutions worldwide.
