First PU students to be promoted without exam

Bengaluru:  With the second wave of COVID -19 attack continuing to cause havoc, the Government on Tuesday postponed the second PU exams that were scheduled to take place from May 24.

Announcing this at a press meet here on Tuesday, Primary and Secondary Education Minister S. Suresh Kumar said that all the students of first PUC will be promoted to the next class without any exams

Pointing out that the second PU exam was scheduled to take place across the State from May 24 till mid-June, he said that the exams have been postponed based on the recommendation of COVID-19 Technical Committee. However, the students will be informed of the next dates of the exam at least 15 days in advance. 

Asking the students not to get disturbed over the postponement of the exam, Suresh Kumar said that a bridge course will be conducted  ahead of the start of  next academic year for all first PU students entering second PUC.

He further said that in the backdrop of postponement of second PU exam, all the lecturers have been asked to ‘Work from Home’ and be in constant touch with students.
