B.M. Sourav, Class 9 student of Rotary Midtown Academy, has secured Black Belt in Karate.

Sourav started his career in Karate at the age of eight years under the guidance of Renshi Sudhakar. He has received number of medals, certificates and prizes in various competitions.

For the first time, he won first place in district level competitions, 2011 and State-level gold medal in 2014-15 and 2015-16. He has also participated in National-level competition held at Delhi and Madhya Pradesh.

He has received Black Belt from Shian Althat Pasha, Secretary of Akhila Karnataka Sports Karate Association, on Jan.21.

According to the certificate, he has completed the required training in the traditional Martial Arts of GI TOKU KAI KARATE DO INDIA and is promoted to next level. Currently he is getting trained for GTK speed Karate.
